The John Henry Combo was the distillation of many excellent jazz musicians in SLC during the 2000-2008 time period. Most were graduates of the University of Utah Jazz Studies Department. After playing numerous gigs and festivals around the West (and winning several awards), the group disbanded as the players went off to various graduate schools. In 2008, the group reformed to produce these studio recordings.
